Sale of Chametz
One of the keys to Pesach observance is the removal of Chametz from our
houses. We can remove much of the chametz we own by cleaning before
Pesach - but there is always some chametz that we do not want to throw
away before Pesach. In order that we do not have to do this, a Sale of
Chametz procedure was introduced centuries ago which allows us to sell our
Chametz for the duration of Pesach to someone who is not Jewish. If you
would like to sell your Chametz through the Rabbi, please download the form, fill it in and send it/email it/hand it back to Rabbi Mason or to Jo Cowen at the office as soon as possible but by 9 a.m. on Monday 18 April at the latest.
