EMILE COHEN: “3000 years of history and culture of the Jews of Iraq”
Emile will talk a little bit about ancient history and how the Jews came into Iraq (Babylon). He will then chat about life until the British occupation and later, until the mid 20th century exodus. He will be identifying key moments in Jewish Iraqi history and will point particularly to the contribution the Jews made in building Iraq.
For catering purposes it would be helpful if you could let Janet know if you are able to attend at , but if not you’ll always be welcome on the day.
