Join our board of management
We’re always keen for new people to join the Board so if it’s something you’ve been thinking of, please do send in your nomination paper. The form needed was sent out with the shul magazine and copies can be downloaded here
All you need to do is nominate yourself on the form – sign and complete the top box, enter your details on the appropriate line, sign in the right-hand column on that line and return the form to the Shul Office. You will also need to be nominated by two other people who should do this on separate forms, to be sent to the Shul Office but neither of which require your signature.
You may be wondering what it actually involves. We meet 6 times a year with an agenda that covers a variety of strategic decisions concerning the running of the shul. Each person on the Board is also responsible for a portfolio which they deal with between meetings bringing together other members to support them in their work. You can see the current Board’s portfolios here although there’s always the possibility of adding new portfolios if you have an idea for one.
So, if you have ideas for any area of the Shul’s work, we’d love to have you on board so get that form in before the deadline of noon on Wednesday, 18 April.
Don’t forget there is also the option of nominating a proxy to vote on your behalf if there should be elections for this year’s Honorary Officers or Board Members – so don’t forget to also send that form back if you are interested in that option. You can download the form here
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at the AGM on Monday, 14 May when you’ll have a chance to hear an update on the building project and details of the new strategy developed for the coming years.
