“How Pleasant to know Mr Lear: The curious story of the Limerick”
Stephen Gold hails originally from Glasgow, but now lives in London with his wife Ruth, close to their bewildered children and grandchildren, and are members of Muswell Hill Shul and the ToTH Steering Group. He is a solicitor, formerly the senior partner of a national law firm, and since retiring from practice has developed a law firm management consultancy.
Stephen has a passion for light verse. His work been published by the leading publications in the field on both sides of the Atlantic, including in The Times and The Washington Post. He has so far contributed over 600 limericks to a project to define by limerick every word in the Oxford English Dictionary.
