Magic Moments 2014
I am sure you will all be delighted to know that we will be hosting a Magic Moments delegation this year and the main Yom HaZikaron ceremony and Yom Ha’Atzmaut celebration will be on the evening of Monday, 5 May.
I am seeking families who may be interested in hosting a Magic Moments teenager. The visiting kids are generally 15-17 years old (Years 10-13 typically) and ideally you should have a child/children in Year 10 or above. Participating in Magic Moments is an amazing opportunity – an unbelievable experience for you and your children, as previous hosts will happily testify. If you’d like more information (without commitment) just give me a call and I can talk you through what is involved. I would also like to try and get a small group (2 or 3 people) together to help plan and organise the programme.
Finally, as the costs of hosting Magic Moments have increased over the years, I am also looking for ways to raise some additional funding so you can also help with this aspect by either making a donation through the Shul or sponsoring all or part of an event (kiddush, the food at the Yom Ha’Atzmaut party, an outing for the kids, etc) or by helping me approach sponsors!
Please come forward – it is a really worthwhile experience.
