Muswell Hill Warm Welcome

As many of you will know, over a year ago, we set up a local project, Muswell Hill Welcomes, along with Muswell Hill Methodist Church. This was able to help a large group of people who were seeking asylum here and were placed in a local hotel. This project developed also to supporting Ukrainian refugees.

Now, given the cost of living crisis, we wanted to open this project up to local residents who need a warm space to be, chat, work, eat and more. So we will start our weekly sessions on Thursday Jan 5th with our Warm Welcome, taking place at the Methodist Church.

We are Muswell Hill Synagogue would like to support this through our volunteers – so if you are interested in making soup, baking cakes, staffing the Thursday afternoon sessions or even helping with any tech there (we would like people to be able to work there or charge phones there) – please do email our coordinator,  and let her know as soon as possible that you would like to volunteer.

This is another great collaborative project which we hope we be of great benefit to the local community – do do get involved and be in touch

Have a Shabbat Shalom – and hope all your Channuka preparations are going well too
